A Bit More About Me

Hello and welcome! I’m Kaitlyn, a travel agent and instructional designer who loves crafting unforgettable adventures and creating impactful learning experiences. I’m thrilled to share a little bit more about myself and the journey that’s shaped who I am today.

My Educational Journey
I’m a proud graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), where I earned both my Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees. Currently, I’m pursuing my PhD in Curriculum and Instruction at Regent University. Education has always been a cornerstone of my life. I spent five years as a K-12 teacher, where I developed a deep passion for helping students achieve their full potential. Today, as an instructional designer, I channel my creativity into developing courses that inspire learners of all backgrounds.

My Personal Story
Two years ago, I faced a significant life change when I became a widow. This experience has taught me resilience and the importance of cherishing life’s moments, big and small. Through it all, I’ve leaned on my passions and loved ones to continue moving forward with purpose and gratitude.

My Love for Travel
Travel has been a lifelong passion of mine. To date, I’ve explored 46 states and 5 countries, with a sixth country on the horizon. Each destination has offered unique experiences, stunning landscapes, and countless memories. I’m also an avid landscape photographer, capturing the beauty of my journeys and documenting every step along the way. Whether it’s hiking through national parks or wandering vibrant city streets, travel fuels my soul and keeps my sense of wonder alive.

​My Furry Companions
I’m a proud pet mom to two wonderful fur babies: Scout, loyal and adventurous dog, and Macy, my sweet and sassy cat. They bring so much joy to my everyday life and are always ready to greet me when I return home from my travels.

My Hobbies and Interests
When I’m not working or exploring new destinations, I love immersing myself in hobbies that bring out my creative side. Crafting with my Cricut is a favorite pastime, whether it’s making personalized gifts or decorating my home. I’m also a dedicated shopper who enjoys finding great deals and treasures wherever I go. And as a lifelong baseball fan, cheering on the Atlanta Braves is one of my favorite ways to unwind and connect with fellow fans.
